"There is a destiny that makes men brothers:

None goes his way alone;
All that we send into the lives of others:

Comes back into our own.”

~Edwin Markham (1852-1940)

House of Dreams

Dear House it surely does seem

You enter often into my dreams

Why do I dream of you o'er and o'er

And seem to be opening another door?

Your rooms are large and spacious too

But do I still have need of you?

No matter how many an open door

I pass thru, there are many more.

I seem to see my loved ones there

Laughing and happy without a care.

Even those I love who have passed away

Are with me as though it were yesterday

Many years have passed, I wonder why

You still come to me when I close my eyes

Tonight I lay awake unable to sleep

Wondering if I will ever find the missing link

To explain why I so often dream of you

It would bring peace of mind to me, too.
